Global Citizenship
Manx BirdLife is the wildlife conservation charity working to protect the Isle of Man’s wild birds and the habitats on which they depend. To find out more about us, visit Manx BirdLife - Nature. For generations.
Offering a mix of indoor and outdoor activities, our education programme is designed to inspire young people to discover and cherish the Island’s wildlife, and to consider their role as future stewards of our natural environment.
By taking part in bird surveys in their school grounds and gardens, we can give your young people the opportunity to become citizen scientists. Through collecting real-life data and submitting it to Manx BirdLife and the RSPB (our nature conservation partner), your young people can help to inform nature conservation action both on the Isle of Man and in the UK.
To learn more about how we can assist your school, class or youth group activities and studies, visit http://manxbirdlife.im/education-programme/ or email education@manxbirdlife.im with the topics you would like help with.
To find out more about the bird surveys your young people can get involved with, visit Garden Birdwatch - Manx BirdLife, Big Schools’ Birdwatch (rspb.org.uk), and Big Garden Birdwatch | The RSPB.
